The helmet, which was no longer functional and therefore no longer available and therefore could not be repaired, was quickly replaced by the new one.
Unlike Apple's MagSafe, the yellow charging pause light was constantly lit on while charging the Firefly. I suspect that its awkward shape prevents it from dissipating heat well.
Love the advanced features of this helmet including the remote blinkers and the customizable settings for the light patterns.
Of all the helmets I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had quite a few, the Lumos is extremely comfortable, and the one that fits me the absolute best. And when I was having a problem with the turn signals remote switch Lumos replaced it immediately. Great product, wonderful service, I’m completely satisfied and highly recommend Lumos.
I bought this helmet as I wanted something light and sporty for my commute. I'm very pleased, build quality is great. Everything is exactly as described. The magnetic clasp works perfectly. The biggest thing though is the battery life, I think I've only had to charge it 3 times in 5 months. And I use it every work day for an hour. Not entirely sure what kind of black magic is in play here, but not complaining! Would whole heartedly recommend.
It's a rather expensive product, but they're probably the most feature extensive bike lights you can buy. Especially the signaling (blinker) function makes it worth it for me, although it's best used in combination with their blinker remote (and the sadle bracket for the rear lights), addin to the price. The overall experience is very user friendly: the pairing process (both between the lights as with your phone), the useage and setting the lights' modes on the app are all intuitive and fast.
I experienced some bugs with the app at some point, but they communicated a fix via email and it's clear they're working on it.
The most negative point for me was that one of the lights started acting up after trying to turn it off (by long pressing), a subsequent firmware update didn't go through properly (it never indicated it finished updating), and after a few more uses the light got bricked (or something): when connected to the charger, it showed the small green light indicating it's fully charger, but it couldn't be turned on anymore. After explainig the problem via email, I got send a new light free of charge within 2-3 weeks of my first email.
So overal I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
I have a helmet and 4 minis and use them all the time. I have been very happy with their performance
I have already used my new Lumos Helmet Winter Liner numerous times on my early morning bicycle rides along the lake. I especially like how the liner is designed to perfectly fit the inside of the helmet with velcro tabs, and how the liner “cups” and protects my ears to keep out the cold wind. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic helmet! The Lumos is stylish, unbelievably comfortable, and so easy to use. The lights and indicators are a game changer for visibility, and the MIPS safety feature gives real peace of mind. Add to that their outstanding customer service, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly!
But the charger is worse, because it always causes overheating of the Firefly. It works better by charching it with Apple Mac-Safe.
Connexion is good with the helmet, for turn signal. Stop function is not easy to evaluate as only visible in the move. Much better than the basic remote supplied with the helmet, whose connection is erratic and burning quickly the batteries.
Padding deteriorated and Lumos was amazing in getting it replaced. Great job 👌

I’ve had the original Lumos helmet for around 5 years. It still works great! I’m planning on upgrading to a new Lumos this year because of how satisfied I am with this product.
Just great for under the saddle and it even works mounted on some panier racks.
One of the items I ordered was missing, and despite multiple complaints, I was told to investigate further. It’s been a week with no update. What should I do?
I bought my Lumos Ultra helmet several months ago. I then ordered a visor which took about 3 months due to it being out of stock. The visor is connected to the helmet with Velcro strips, hangs too low and can be easily ripped off. It works, but not as well as other helmets that come equipped with a visor.
The fit is comfortable and easy to adjust.
I’m glad to have the extra visibility from the front and rear lights. I feel safer.
The helmet is great , it could use some beefing up + a visor to make it a little more pleasing to the eye but overall I am happy with the helmet.
