I like the helmet and what it offers. The padding could use more cushioning and adhere better to the helmet. The lights are really bright so safety in that regard is great. I do question the quality of the helmet itself as I noticed the foam easily dents.

I’m disappointed only that the Firefly tail light did not include any way to recharge it. Needing to purchase additional equipment and wait for it to arrive was cheap and “tacky” of Lumos.
My whole protective foams were desintegreted after two years of much use and swear. So I needed a new Bug Net and protective foams. But wirh the Bug et you don't get the missing foam to protect your forehead. So I had to buy the whole set of protective foams, and that makes it expensive.
So Lumos, ad the forehead protective foam to the Bug Net and the package will be ok.
My Lumos helmet broke, the electronics no longer went, no lighting, could not load it anymore! Lumos helped me immediately and sent me a new helmet! Great service, very customer-friendly and helpful. Anytime again a Lumos helmet! Thanks to the customer service team!

Positive: Compact design, good workmanship, rechargeable, easy installation, solid attachment
Negative: must be purchased separately as the remote lite included with the helmet is (almost) unusable.

Le casque correspond exactement à ce que je voulais : il est beau, sa visière est fort pratique, ses lumières ont un aspect vraiment spécial, les ajustements du casque sont simples et efficaces. Bref, c'est du très bon matériel!
I've owned my Lumos Ultra (MIPS) now for nearly 2 years. It's been an essential safety component of my e-scooter, which wasn't initially fitted with turn indicators. The visibility of the rear red lights warns approaching drivers. It gives me extra confidence on the roads.
I addition to this, I've had excellent customer service from this company, and that makes all the difference.
I look forward to seeing the evolution of this product. Sustainability of the battery would make this an almost perfect product.
I purchased 4 Firefly rear mounts for our bikes. They were very easy to install. They look great on the bikes and offer outstanding visibility. However one of the mounts screw stripped at the cradle, it is very sensitive, I did not apply that much pressure, yet it was damaged? Very good product, but take a good look at your quality control.
Got this to commute with since I often feel drivers don’t always notice me. I love that it has a mips option and that it’s a 4 star rated helmet from Virginia Tech! The lights were easy to pair with the remote and my app and Apple Watch. Looking forward to trying it out!
I mostly ride my bike during the daytime, but I still like to be as visible to cars as possible. I grew tired of having to switch out my LED lights between bikes (and didn’t want to buy a set of front and rear LED lights for each bike), and looked into helmets with lights as the helmet would be on me at all times. I liked the Lumos helmets the best with their smart features and app integration. I was sold after watching several YouTube reviews.
While the front and rear lights on the helmet aren’t as bright as my dedicated bike lights (I’ve got the brightest ones I could find), they still put out a lot of light and are visible from pretty far off. Additionally, they are higher up than the lights mounted on the bike, so I figure that somewhat compensates for the lower output levels.
I also really like the fit of the helmet, and how light it is. The included visor tends to come off the small patches of velcro occasionally, but if that’s the only problem I’m dealing with, I think this helmet and I have a long future ahead of us!
I should have read the other reviews before buying. It’s really flimsy and hard to put on. It’s better to wear a baseball cap underneath if you want a visor.
