the outer vinyl housing of the charge cable with the magnetic attachment, of my 3 year old Kickstart model has failed in several places, causing the inner wires to become exposed, and ultimately breaking. I have soldered these wires back together in 3 places. Last week the wires broke again, this time the break is too close to the magnetic connector to repair. I have been told these cables are no longer available, per Lumos support. A friend has a Kickstart II which is less then 1 year old. His has the same connector. There are several reviews on this site which are only a few months old, which rave about their new replacement cables with the magnet. Lumos supports says they are not available and will not be available in the foreseeable future. The best they can tell me is to check my local bike shops, and maybe someone will have one in stock. What is wrong here? Why can I not get this simple replacement cable?
