Love the helmet and feel just that bit safer with the lights on and the indicators are an added bonus.

In service date of July 17, 2025. I have had my Ultra E-bike Helmet (MIPS), turn signal Remote sensor, 4 Firefly Mini and 2 Firefly (large) just over one year. I am a believer that visibility is the No. 1 Factor in Bike Safety! A helmet is a huge component but lighting is a preventative measure. If vehicle drivers and even people walking see me on my e-bike they get a visual cue that there is something there to avoid.

Added to the list of Lumos things, I also have the Apple Watch Lumos App that utilizes gestures to turn on/off the turn signals. In my case it csn use my helmet and 2 Firefly Minis on each side of my e-bike. I notice that, even after 1-year, it remains in Beta Test. I would hope it becomes fully integrated so. It works well about 80% of the time. Given that their competitors don’t have it 80% is very good! My critique is the turn dignal control seems to get pushed out of the way when other apps cause a conflict. My e-bike has an app, if I’m on a new trail I might use Apple’s Maps, Apple Watch is tracking the cycling activity, I listen to Apple Music and there are other things like FindMy, Health, Messaging, and others working in the background.

It makes me think there is a need for an e-bike information sharing architecture that makes integration of all these application silos to play well together.

The E-bike Ultra helmet is very good to wear. It feels light in the head. My head feels well ventilated so I thing the air flow is great. No over heating and I have rode in very hot and humid air. Last fall I was able to ride into mid-November in 45F temps and I didn't put the winter liner in and felt fine.

I love the visor. I hear people complain but none from me. I do a lot of trail rides and I an in and out of wooded areas and into open wild grassy areas. I live in the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” so water is all around. Lakes, rivers, streams and even swamps. All of these areas have a TON of insects that can jump and a lot fly. From June into September, the bugs are in the air, ready to hit you in the face and many are bug enough for you to feel it. Instead of hitting my face or go in my mouth they go, “Sha-thump,” and bounce off the visor and helmet.

True story, last week s bug hit the helmet and some made it into the an air vent and was caught on the MIPS (now MIPS can be a bug shield, too).

No crashes, knock on wood, so I can’t provide any crash testimonials. I just strap it on, turn on the lights and go have fun.

Superior quality. Great tech. So much more than your average cycling helmet.

I purchased two firefly lights a couple months ago. (Pretty expensive) and one of them stopped working. I contacted Lumos, whoever and wherever they are, and they replaced the light, after I sent a video showing that it didn’t work. The lights function very well. I have had a Lumos helmet for a few years and it has always functioned well. I’m not sure if they make me more safe since drivers pay no attention to anything. I hope the helmet and tail lights make me more safe and visible. I know that when I see another cyclist they generally have a small tail light that is not very bright or easy to see. I think with a Lumos helmet and taillight/turn signals I am much more visible and there is more of a chance that I won’t be crushed by a speeding car. As long as the driver isn’t impaired by drugs/alcohol, or texting. Safe travels to the Lumos community.

I've been using this helmet since 2 weeks but I already like the helmet for it's light weight, easy magnetic closing mechanism and the magnetic light on the back. It cannot completely replace my ultra helmet since the ultra has front light, but I really appreciate the weight loss of the Aero GT. I would buy it again and I can recommend it for daily commute.

I cannot review the helmet itself because I never received it.
DHL claimed they attempted delivery while I was at home, and the package was returned to Lumos. Since then, I have contacted Lumos multiple times by email and even through Instagram asking for help to either resend my order or explain what happened.
Unfortunately, I have received little to no response, and my issue remains unresolved. The lack of customer support has been extremely disappointing.
I was genuinely looking forward to giving this helmet as present, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend buying from Lumos until they improve their customer service and after-sales support.

Never got my refund, after two weeks of confirmation of retour

Too bulky so i returned it within my return time and never got my refund. Its been 2 months and they keep telling me thwyre checking on it. Get a helmet from a more established company.

J'ai fait l'acquisition du casque Lumos Nyxel en remplacement du Kickstart dont l'autonomie était réduite à 10 min. Le système de batterie amovible m'a rassuré. Dès réception, j'ai pu laisser mon Nyxel allumé pendant plus de 4h. La connectique de recharge en USB-C est vraiment la bienvenue. Plus besoin de transporter un n-ième câble spécifique avec moi. Le Nyxel est moins bien aéré que le Kickstart de par son orientation plus urbaine que sportive. Petit bémol sur le confort du système de serrage qui m'occasionne un point de compression derrière l'oreille. A part ça, j'ai apprécié les coloris proposés pour la coque du casque et la possibilité de faire varier les lumières en intensité, en colorimétrie et en clignotement.

I now own two Lumos Ultra helmets, white and yellow. I would like to buy an orange helmet. Please consider adding orange as a color option.

Love the Lumos Firefly lineup. I had to order another mounting arm as mine broke....for the second time. The second time it was a legit trauma to the piece. However, the first replacement was a minor accident where I laid the bike down. I also wish that the arm came with the Universal Mount as I am now waiting for them to be back in stock.

The helmet is unexpectedly light weight. It allows for air flow, so on hot rides you don't get overheated. The chin clasp is genious. So easy to use. It is extremely easy to adjust as well. I hope I never have to test its full cabablilties, but it feels like my your brain would be protected in an accident.
