The lights on this helmet are next level, you definitely won’t be missed. The integrated handle bar mounted buttons for turn signals make it easier to let drivers know your intentions, probably best to keep the hand signals going though!
It’s lightweight and comfortable and the build quality is decent.
I think with all its smart features it’s worth the price tag.
Customer service is tops also.

I have a Lumos Smart Cycle helmet and have purchased 4 bike lights to complement it now the nights are getting darker. The helmet & lights can be synced abd this is really effective. Can be used as front, rear & indicators and syncing through the Lumos App. Easy to install and set up/customise. The charging mat is great also - you will beed a 10w charger plug, the charging cable is provided. Overall, very impressed and pleased with these lights and accessories.
Got a replacement for my magnetic cable. Seems much more durable than the old cable.
What I got when I received my set of four firefly minis was four mini lights and a giant pile of very fragile plastic parts, including two broken clips, and no instructions whatsoever. And to this day I can't find any real instructions on how to put all the little pieces together effectively, and the site doesn't give you any information on replacing broken pieces. I still have my original kickstarter Lumos helmet and have been a supporter since the beginning, but I'm done. It was nice while it lasted.
Ich bin zufrieden mit dem Helm und würde ihn wieder kaufen. Man wird nachts gut gesehen. Zum ausleuchten reicht das Frontlicht allerdings nicht. Nachdem die Fernbedienung für die Blinker gleich nach 2 Wochen defekt war, bekam ich anstandslos eine neue Fernbedienung zugesendet.
Without a doubt, this is the best helmet available. I highly recommend it to anyone who values quality and safety.
It has been a journey finding out what I needed as thing came along.

one more step (I think) and that is deciding what helmet to purchase. I guess the one I have is too old?! But I think I still like it more than the store offers! Maybe just gotten used to it. Will just need to make the decision. One thing at first was finding out that the cables were "free" was a good surprise.

I'm very pleased with this item. It only just fits under my helmet, but I have a size small helmet and I did not have much spare room in it.
The liner is very warm and comfortable and is effective at keeping the wind and rain off my head and ears in bad weather. It looks neat and smart while keeping me much warmer than the helmet alone.
I recommend this item fully to other Lumos helmet wearers.

Nice and bright, but I am worried that I will loose them quickly as the rubber band to attached them the bike is not connected to the light and comes off quickly. It would be great if there was a smarter solution than just rubber bands for that price.
v1 handlebar end mount kept reliably breaking. It was so frustrating to lean my bike against any wall as the plastic would easily crack or chip. Even just general wear would cause it to decay. The new design is much more simple and sturdy. It is very purpose built and made it easy to attach the firefly minis. Glad they updated it!
The package didn’t contain the original parts that easy fit the helmet. why?
I love having a carry case that doubles as a charging pad, the only downside is that maybe every 3 charges one of my lights hasn’t charged properly and because I leave them to charge out of regular view I often don’t realise this until I need them. One of the downsides of wireless charging I suppose!

The product is described as allowing you to "attach two Firefly lights 24cm (9.45") apart under your seatpost", with a "strategic under-seatpost design". However, it seems that the mount actually have to connect to the seat itself, so you need to have a seat with rails running the full length of your seat. There is no other way to connect the mount to your bike. I have always connected my lights to my seatpost, so this is very disappointing. I wanted to get these as I don't believe putting lights by the wheel will make my turning indication very clear, given the Fireflies only flash, rather than scroll light in the direction of the turn.
A very nice helmet.
The strong points about it are
- the sync with lumos firefly
- the weight which is not too heavy
- the lights integrated both rear and front
- the design which allow a great ventilation
It stills need to be improved on
- the size of the wind shield which need to be enlarged to have a greater fit and better protection of the face
Love these lights, I wish you had strip lights too. I use these on my pedicab!
