What size is Lumos Nyxel Kids?

One size, S, for head circumferences of 52–56 cm (20.5–22 in). Measure around the widest part of your child’s head, just above the eyebrows and ears, before ordering.

How much does it weigh?

350 g.

How do I change the light colours and patterns?

Single-press the power button to cycle through 14 presets: 7 colours (white front with red rear, gold, blue, pink, violet, flux and blue-green), each in fast flash or always on. Press and hold the button to turn the lights off.

Can it sync with friends’ helmets?

Yes. Team Sync is on by default: double-press the power button to sync the flash pattern and timing with other Lumos helmets and lights. Each helmet keeps its own colour.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 12 hours in fast flash and about 2 hours 50 minutes always on. The battery is removable and replaceable.

How do I charge it?

Flip the rubber cover to reach the USB-C port. A full charge takes about 4 hours; the charging light shows red while charging and green when full.

Can it be used in the rain?

Yes. The helmet is rated IPX6 water resistant.

What safety standards does it meet?

CPSC 1203 and EN 1078. Nyxel Kids comes in a Standard (Non-Mips) version only.

What is in the box?

The Nyxel Kids helmet, a charging cable, a quick start guide, a user manual and a warranty card.

Which accessories fit Nyxel Kids?

The Winter Liner (size S) is made to fit Nyxel Kids. Lumos Firefly bike lights can sync their flash pattern with the helmet.
